Design Assistant

Entry Level to 2 years of experience

Job Description:

The primary purpose of this role is to support one of the business partners on projects, provide project documentation, and learn to run small or partial projects. Additional roles are to organize the resource library and perform errands and tasks as needed. We will provide training to the right candidate.

• Provide project based design support to Interior Designers

• Order samples, and prepare budgets

• Learn to prepare proposals and purchase orders at the direction of Designers.

• Track orders and schedule, and assist with delivery/installation

• Filing & maintaining client directory, notebook, and files on office network per office standards

• CAD Drafting on AutoCad LT

• Oversee very small jobs with support

Position requirements:

• Interior Design degree from CIDA accredited school

• 0-2 years Design or Design related experience

• Proficiency in AutoCad or AutoCadLT

• Knowledge and ability to do furniture layouts and proportions

• Team player who wants to work in an open, collaborative and fast-paced environment

• Staring hourly rate $23-25 depending on skills. Will review after 90 days.
